Protect rent controlled housing, expand deed restricted affordable housing on publicly owned land, and keep Santa Monica a place where working families, seniors, and long term residents can thrive.

Meet Ericka
Ericka Lesley is not your typical politician. She is proof that community power works. Rooted in lived experience, her path to public service began in survival. As a survivor of domestic violence and someone who has overcome homelessness, she knows firsthand what marginalized families face when systems fail them, and that truth fuels everything she does.
As Director of CURELA, a program under the nonprofit Community Build, Ericka spent years turning advocacy into action, connecting families to housing, critical services, and the dignity they deserve. As Former Chair of the Santa Monica Rent Control Board, she stood as a shield for working families against displacement.
This seat belongs to the community.

Affordability, homelessness, and public safety shape the quality of life for every Santa Monica resident. Ericka is running to move all three forward together.
Protect rent controlled housing, expand deed restricted affordable housing on publicly owned land, and keep Santa Monica a place where working families, seniors, and long term residents can thrive.
A coordinated regional strategy that pairs compassion with accountability: more permanent supportive housing, mental health care, and treatment, while keeping public spaces safe, clean, and open to all.
A community centered approach that strengthens traditional safety resources and invests in prevention, targeting root causes like unemployment, lack of opportunity, and untreated mental health needs.
